Coming April 5-June 30, is by Fort Worth Chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America, Inc., showing members’ needlework, beading, antique and modern tools, and more. The purpose of this chapter is to foster the highest standards of excellence in the practice of the art of embroidery through an active program of education and study and to preserve the heritage of the art of embroidery. Come join us in a reception for the opening of this exhibit Sat. May 14, 1 pm till 6 pm.
The new exhibit, showcases work from the “Cowtown Stitchers.” Pieces on display will be both antique and new, according to Mendie Cannon, chairman of “With My Needle.” “We look forward to meeting with people who may be interested in learning how to ‘stitch’ and create wonderful works of art that will become family heirlooms. Many of our members have pieces of needlework completed by grandparents, aunts and parents. They are treasured memories and are handed down through the family”, she continued.
The Fort Worth Chapter has a membership of 55 women who are passionate about the needlearts.
