The first of five historic Parker County Log Cabins arrived at Pioneer Cabin Park this fall. We are working hard to get all the Cabins to the Park by mid 2018 to stay on track to have the Park Completed and ready for use by August 2020. Just like the cabin raising was a community event in years gone by building Pioneer Cabin Park takes our community coming together to save our collective history!

We are asking you to make your end of year giving count, by pledging to preserve our history for future generations! With your help we move a second cabin, possible a third to Pioneer Cabin Park by the end of 2017. This park is taking shape right before our eyes and the education possibilities for this place will be endless. Your gift will put us one step closer to having school children be able to come and explore, touch and feel, go inside, get hands on with the history of their community. Bringing history to life will help them to connect what they learn in the classroom with their other senses. Making it real, tangible, and leaving a lasting impression!

No gift is too small to help make this happen. Thank you for your support and we can’t wait for you to see the next cabin coming around the Courthouse to Pioneer Cabin Park before year’s end. YOU can make that happen!

A Crew carefully removing the Strain Cabin’s two chimneys stone by stone. They are numbering each stone and placing them on pallets in the same order they were removed. We will move all the stone to Pioneer Cabin Park and reassemble the chimneys once the cabin is in place!
