What are the Museum Hours?

We are open Tuesday through Saturday 10am-5pm and on Thursdays we are open late from 10am-8pm! 

What kind of Museum is the Doss?

We are a Texas and Parker County History museum. Featuring permanent exhibits on Early Settlements in Texas, Cattle Drives, Native American Life in Parker County, and Mary Martin & Larry Hagman. 

What is the cost to visit the Doss?

The museum is FREE to visit. However, if you would like a guided tour it is $3.00 per person and all guided tours must be scheduled in advance. Please contact us at (817) 599-6168 to schedule your guided tour today! 

Is the Doss Accessible?

Yes, the main entrance to the Museum is accessible for people with disabilities and handicap parking is available on the right (or north) side of the building for easy access.  There is also a ramp available next to the stairs.

Groups with special needs may contact the Doss at 817-599-6168 to inquire about the possibility of adapting a current Museum tour to meet their needs.

Does the Doss have Facility Rental space?

Yes, we have 3 beautiful event spaces available for rent. Two indoor spaces - Heritage Hall and the Vandagriff Room. Heritage Hall is our reception hall and seats up to 250 guests depending on the type of event you are hosting. The Vandagriff Room is our spacious classroom which seats up to 50 guests. Does the Doss offer Education Programs?

Yes we do! Our Education department works very hard to offer year round hands on activities for kids of all ages, such as Preschool Storytime on Tuesdays at 10:30am, Hands On History Homeschool Days twice a month, STEAM Labs, and History Alive.
